Armchair from the first-class cabin of the Italian ETR 300 “Settebello” high-speed train (built in 1952), designed by Gio Ponti and Giulio Minoletti. Introduced in 1953 on the Milan–Rome route, the train was famed for its luxurious interior featuring blue velvet upholstery, gold-toned legs, and refined 1950s Italian design.
We recently had an armchair restored (see last photo) and had a fabric woven based on the original design. If interested, we also offer this fabric for sale.
