Description

This set of 4 chairs by Maurice Pre from the 1950s shows the usual signs of use from the period. The mauve skai is original, there is wear to the front corners of the chairs, and part of the lower piping of one seat is missing. The wooden structure has a light patina. The chairs are stable and still have good glue.

The chairs, made by Maurice Pré in France, date from 1950 and have the original fabric in Heather Grey for the seat and backrest.

An authentic vintage design with character that reflects the timeless elegance of Maurice Pré's creative period.
After studying sculpture at the Paris School of Fine Arts, Maurice Pre began his professional career working for renowned designers such as Joseph-André Motte and Pierre Guariche. In 1967, he founded his own design studio, where he began designing contemporary and elegant furniture and lighting.

Over the years, Pre's design creations have been presented at exhibitions throughout Europe and the USA, and he has received several awards for his work. Renowned brands such as Steiner, Sentou, La Redoute and Habitat produced his designs.
