Armchair Model "1101" and "1102" by Cassina from Italy, 1958 with the manufacturers label. The armchair was designed by Giovanni "Nino" Zoncada. The broad, round shaped body, covered in beige-coloured fabric, rests on tapered wooden feet.
This design was a comission for the cruise ship "Stella-Maris-II". Zoncada was, beside Gio Ponti and Gustav Pulitzer-Finali, a leading designer for the furnishing of cruise ships from 1930s until 1970s.
